• Who pays for parking?

  Parking is included for all vehicles in EVE Car.

• What about maintenance?

  EVE Car™ covers annual servicing and general repairs that are not caused by collisions or driver errors. Maintenance and repairs not caused by collisions or driver error are entirely covered, so you never have to worry about annual vehicle maintenance!  

• Insurance - how will that work?

  An existing vehicle insurance policy is required in order to join EVE Car at launch, but as the community driving history is built up over time, options will be added for owners who don’t have their own policy.

• Who pays for charging of the EVs?

  All charging at EVE Park for vehicles in the EVE Car™ program is included! 

• Is there a limit to how far I can drive?

  Yes, every hour of rental has a base 50 km included. Beyond that, there is a low per km usage fee.

• I really like the flexibility of the EVE Car™ – how much lead time do I need to reserve a car?

  Our goal is to always have a vehicle available for quick trips out to the grocery store or running around town! However, we do recommend booking your car ahead of time if you’ve got an important appointment.
  
  We will have a running tally of how many vehicles are available for use at all times and be adjusting the fleet over time as we monitor vehicle availability. 

• I have little kids. What if they leave goldfish crackers in the back seat?

  There will be regularly scheduled cleaning of the vehicles, but remember to be considerate of our neighbors! These are shared vehicles for our community, so do your best to clean up small spills.
  
  Deep cleaning or other violations: $50 per violation, plus costs incurred by EVE Car™ anytime a visit to the vehicle is required (examples include: condition of the car, smoking violations, cleaning pet hair, etc.). 

• I’d like to use the cars frequently. Are there high-usage packages that would allow me to save money?

  That's definitely the plan! Let us know if you want to make EVE Car™ your primary vehicle, or if you'd be interested in a high-usage package. We plan to make these packages available after observing the usage over the first few months.  

• Will the vehicle that I choose go as far as I need?

  Members will be able to choose between long- and standard-range vehicles and select the one that works for you! In our orientation, we'll go through how to charge the vehicles both in our parking tower and in other locations.
