For people familiar with car-share programs as they are practiced elsewhere, The Erie EVE Car membership is going to be the most familiar of the EVE Car series. But there are a couple of key differences. First - the cars are Teslas. You don’t find that very often. Second - the cars are located right where you live. You don’t find that often either. But like other car-share programs - the Erie approach is purely pay-as-you-go, based on a combination of hourly and mileage charges.

If you only drive once in a while, Erie might be just the answer. It’s more expensive per kilometer, but very low overhead. And it’s an easy and low-risk way to dip your toe into car-sharing, and out of car ownership.
